Use of Mobile Devices (Rules & Regulations)

Students are allowed to bring mobile phones to school. This is to facilitate parents who wish to contact their child after school. Mobile phones can can only be used before 7:35 am (Mon-Wed & Fri) / 8:35 am (Thurs) on the school premises.
After school dismissal, mobile phones can only be used in the canteen and foyer. -
Students are not allowed to use their mobile phones during school hours, including breaks and free periods.

During curriculum time, parents should call the school office should they wish to contact their child for urgent reasons.

Should mobile phones be heard, seen or used during school hours, the following consequences will be meted out.

SIM card will be returned to the student.

Students must not charge their mobile phones and PLDs in school.

Students are advised to be responsible for the safekeeping of their valuables such as PLDs and mobile phones.
Students should make use of the lockers provided to keep their devices; under no circumstances should the devices be left unattended. -
Smartwatches capable of communication, data storage, photo taking, photo storage and/or calculation are not allowed.

For weighted assessments and examinations (in line with the SEAB guidelines), any electronic device capable of scanning, storing or displaying visual and verbal information, including fitness trackers, is not allowed.
